The Demesne and Limerick Greenway are two natural playgrounds full of things to do for both young and old alike. Whether it's stretching your legs on the wooded paths in the Demesne or pedaling along the tranquil and picturesque Greenway there is lots to see and do around Newcastle West!
The playground at the entrance to the Demesne is the perfect place to burn off some of that youthful energy with the adjoining skate park also a popular attraction.
On the Limerick Greenway don't miss the (reputedly haunted!) Barna Tunnel!
A number of nearby equestrian centres also cater for children (and adults!) horse and pony riding.
On days when the weather is more suited to indoor pursuits then the Killeline Leisure Centre is the perfect place to have a dip while the town's library is perfect for little learners and inquiring minds!
