Family Friendly Kilmallock

There is so much on offer for families visiting Kilmallock - in the town and within driving distance.

Family Friendly

Without doubt a plant lovers garden, Terra Nova Gardens also offers so much more including a tropical Thai house and a magical fairy garden that will enchant children and adults alike.

At the nearby trailhead of the Ballyhoura Bike Trails in Ardpatrick there are walking and cycling routes to suit all ages, and the starting point for a nature trail for those interested in finding hidden creatures along the way.

The Ballyhoura Nature Trail, located at the Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Centre, is an investigation of over 20 hidden creatures that children have to keep their eyes peeled to uncover. Using the nature trail guide available to download here, see what animals may be hidden in the woods and as you find them tick them off your list!

Animal Magic has probably one of the biggest collections of raptors in Ireland, from the tiny Merlin, to the impressive Golden Eagle. Spend a couple of hours or if you are passionate about wildlife you can spend longer.

On days when the weather is more suited to indoor interests Kilmallock Library is perfect for little learners and inquiring minds!
