Calling all proposals for 2022 Town and Village Renewal Scheme

Limerick City and County Council is seeking expressions of interest from town or village community groups and/or business interests who may have suitable projects for consideration under the 2022 Town and Village Renewal Scheme. The Town and Village Renewal Scheme (TVRS) aims to assist with the rejuvenation of rural towns and villages throughout Ireland, making them more attractive places to live, work, and visit. Expressions of Interest are now being sought from suitable groups or organisations.

There is a maximum number of proposals that can be selected for progression to full application stage, under each Measure, as follows:

  • Main TVRS Measure - a maximum of six proposals can be selected for progression to full application stage. The minimum grant funding available is €20,000 and the maximum grant funding available is €250,000 for five proposals and €500,000 for one proposal.
  • Project Development Measure – a maximum of two proposals can be selected for progression. Grant funding up to €50,000 for both.
  • Marketing Scheme Measure – One proposal can be selected for progression. Grant funding up to €50,000.

Applicants must take the government policies of Our Rural Future – Ireland’s Rural Development Policy 2021-2025 and Town Centre First – A Policy Approach for Irish Towns into account when filling out their form.

The closing date for completed Expressions of Interest forms with supporting documentation must be emailed to townandvillagerenewal@limerick.ie by 12 noon on Wednesday 29th June 2022.
