Membership of the Digital Repository of Ireland

Limerick Archives is delighted to announce its membership to the Digital Repository of Ireland

As the archivist for Limerick City and County Council, I am pleased to announce our membership of the Digital Repository of Ireland.

Preserving our digital heritage requires the same level of diligence and respect that we extend to physical archives. Our membership guarantees that Limerick City and County Council’s digital collections will be expertly maintained and safeguarded for future generations to access and appreciate.

Sarah Hayes-Hickey, Limerick City and County Archivist

DRI Director Dr. Lisa Griffith said:

“We are delighted that Limerick City and County Council have become the newest member of DRI. They join a growing number of Local Authorities that are committing to providing access and long-term preservation for their archival collections through membership of DRI.

We are looking forward to working with Limerick City and County Council to assist in the preservation of their collections that document a range of fascinating histories relating to the Limerick area
