Get planning for epic nights out as Riverfest Limerick 2024 kick starts your summer in the city this May Bank Holiday weekend.

A winged Pegasus parade and massive fireworks display are among more than 40 events and activities across the four-day weekend with tens of thousands of people expected to hit the town to soak up the unique energy of Limerick’s premier festival.

Limerick’s eclectic mix of bars and restaurants are ready to welcome and entertain, while live music concerts, street parties and fashion fixes will all add to a vibrant night time atmosphere.

As the sun sets on Friday evening a mythical giant winged Pegasus will form the centrepiece of the Pegasé show creating a must see parade along the River Shannon. This free family friendly event will thrill the little ones while providing the perfect preamble to an amazing night on the town for grown-ups.

Get the party started with a live DJ on Honan’s Quay on Saturday and Sunday evening at the Riverfest Street Party, a new addition to the festival this year.

The Riverfestival Village returns to Arthur’s Quay Park with food trucks, carnival rides and live shows all creating a fun vibe and a community spirit in the heart of the city.

Pace yourself on Sunday as the Regeneron Great Limerick Run 2024 will draw massive crowds of athletes and supporters, all thirsty to celebrate once the finish line has been crossed.

Limerick will rock you with live shows including tribute act Qween, featuring the Dublin Gospel Choir and Irish chart topper Moncreiff, both playing live at King John’s Castle.

Get ready to step out in style with some tips from style icon Celia Holman Lee at Fashionfest, a showcase of Limerick’s talented designers at Gardens International or take a date for a late romantic spin on the Panoramic Wheel

On Sunday night, find yourself a viewing point around the river to watch the Riverfest Spectacular Fireworks Display light up the night sky. The spectacle will cap off a long weekend packed with activities and events including Riverfest on the Shannon, the Riverfest Zipline, the National All Ireland BBQ Competition, and much, much more.
