Riverfest Limerick made waves on social media this year with over 1.7 million views of videos featuring the annual festival, an increase of 228% over last year.
Analysis of digital media content also shows more than 9 million total impressions across all Riverfest Limerick social media channels, an 83% increase over 2022.
There were over 192,000 views of the Riverfest.ie page on Limerick.ie.
The Riverfest Festival makes Limerick THE destination for families, foodies and fun runners on the May bank holiday weekend each year.
Limerick’s largest festival showcases the city’s energy while acting as a stage for street artists, thrilling stunts on the River Shannon, live music and cultural events.
This year it took place from Friday 28 April to Monday 01 May and featured many family favourites including: Riverfestival Village, BBQ on the Boardwalk, Riverfest Spectacular Fireworks Display and the Panoramic Wheel, along with new additions: Riverfest Freedrop and ROGU ‘Firestorm’.
The Marketing and Communications team at Limerick City and County Council worked with Piquant Media to manage a three-week multimedia marketing campaign across social, digital, radio and print media.
