Limerick Schools to be given advice to showcase their Green credentials

Limerick City and County Council has partnered with Tipperary County Council and An Taisce to deliver a series of online training seminars to teachers about the Green Schools initiative.

Green Schools is Ireland’s leading environmental management and education programme for schools and promoted long-term, whole-school action for the environment. Green Schools is a student-led programme with involvement from the wider community.

A series of webinars has been created for teachers with registration now open.

These seminars will be hosted online through Zoom, with individually themed seminars to give specific guidance for each Green-Schools theme.

Each seminar will include a theme presentation and Q&A session and will last approximately one hour. To register for these Zoom seminars please click here.

All seminars will take place on Wednesday 04 November and will last approximately one hour:

  • Litter & Waste - 3pm
  • Water - 3pm
  • Travel - 4pm
  • Biodiversity - 3pm
  • Global Citizenship: Litter & Waste - 4pm
  • Global Citizenship: Energy - 5pm
  • Global Citizenship: Marine Environment - 4pm
  • Global Citizenship: Travel - 5pm
  • Global Citizenship: Food & Biodiversity - date to be confirmed
  • Energy - date to be confirmed
