People come to Lough Gur for its beauty and tranquility but many want to find out more about this magical place. In response to this demand, the Lough Gur Guides services was established; comprising of 10 professionally trained guides. All guides are experts in the area of history folklore and archaeology.
Lough Gur Visitor Centre exhibition re-opened on May 10th 2021. All park areas, kiosk, playground and retail areas are also open for everyone to enjoy.
There is now a core team of approximately ten trained guides who can show you the most historical sites in the area and who will pass on their knowledge to you in a friendly and informative manner. Questions are always welcome to help further your understanding.
