Limerick City and County Council hosts Bulk Collection Day

As part of the local authority’s programme of reducing the incidence of illegal dumping and fly-tipping, Limerick City and County Council has organised a special Bulk Collection Day.

For one day only, a special bulky furniture waste collection service is taking place on Saturday 14 September 2019 between 10am and 1pm in each of Limerick City and County Council’s three civic amenity sites of Mungret, Newcastle West and Kilmallock.

The following items will be accepted on the day:

  • Chairs
  • Tables
  • Couches
  • Sofas
  • Wardrobes
  • Dressers
  • Headboards
  • Stands
  • Cabinets
  • Lockers

Unfortunately, mattresses, glass table tops and plastic garden furniture will not be taken on this occasion as part of the collection day.

No commercial loads will be accepted.

Three items per car are allowed and the cost is €5 per car.

The Bulk Collection Day is organised by Limerick City and County Council and supported by the Department of Communications Climate Action and the Environment under the 2019 Anti-Dumping Initiative Scheme.
