The playground is particularly suitable for young children as it has a range of play facilities including a model of a train, for young children to explore and play in.
The Rathkeale Community Playground has a large range of state of the art play facilities for children of all ages including children with disabilities.
The play equipment includes flat swings, basket swing, cradle swings, cow rocker, duck rocker, see saw rocker, roundabout, pyramid rotator, vertical rotator, multi play unit, tube slide unit and play train.
There is seating and ample car parking available. The playground is situated close to an entrance to the Limerick Greenway, where walkers, hikers and cyclists can gain access to over 39km of unique walking trail which was once the route of the Limerick – Tralee railway line.
