We organise various indoor and outdoor competitions for young boys and girls from 8 years up to 16 years throughout the city and county.
Community Games is an independent voluntary organisation, operating in local communities throughout Ireland. We aim to provide opportunities for children and young people to develop in a healthy and safe environment through experiencing a wide range of sporting and cultural activities. We encourage and foster community spirit and cooperation.
We also encourage all Area Volunteers to become involved at County, Provincial or National level.
The competitions can broadly be summarised into indoor and outdoor activities of various disciplines. The area competitions in December through to April culminate in area finals and county finals and then provincial finals. Indoor provincial finals are usually in March with the corresponding national finals in May. For all other events the area finals and county finals are in Mary through to June culminating in provincial finals in July and national finals in August.
