Feenagh/Kilmeedy camogie club was first formed in 1977.
Feenagh/Kilmeedy camogie club was first formed in 1977. The club fielded a very strong and competitive team throughout the 1980's and the girls were coached at the time by Sean O' Gorman of Kilmeedy. In 1981 the Junior team wre vitorious in both the county league and championship finals and from this were regraded to intermediate level in 1982, a junior team was also selected for this year. The Intermediate team went on to claim the county championship at this grade for the first time in 1982. The club had another victory 2 years later with a double county league and county championship sucess in 1984.
The club was dispanded until the 1990's, when reformed the team were sucessful at junior and underage level. The teams wre mentored by Pat Walsh, Jerry coleman and later by Louise Enright and Theresa Noonan. the club has recently reformed again in 2008, with trainers John Coleman and Mossie O' Sullivan.
