Culture Night Limerick 2024: Video Captures Celebration of Creativity and Community

Limerick City and County lit up with a spectacular Culture Night 2024, celebrating the vibrant arts and creativity that define our community.

The night was a resounding success, drawing crowds of residents and visitors to experience dozens of free events supported by the Arts Office at Limerick City and County Council.

The Council’s Marketing and Communications department is thrilled to premiere a new video that captures the highlights of Limerick’s Culture Night 2024.

Sparks fly at a blacksmith demonstration as the video takes viewers on a journey through an energetic night filled with stunning visuals and dynamic performances.

Hermitage Green had people dancing on Nicholas Street, while Sionna brought electrifying performances to King John’s Castle and Limerick’s Milk Market was bustling with family friendly activities, creating a lively atmosphere for all ages.

From Limerick’s museums and galleries to Dance Limerick and Wickham Way, the night was filled with unforgettable moments that truly captured the different kind of energy that makes Limerick unique.

Mayor of Limerick, John Moran, expressed his delight at the success of Culture Night, saying, “For me, Culture Night Limerick 2024 was a dream starting to come true. The streets and buildings coming alive with fun events and hundreds of people wandering between one and the other. My only regret, shared by many others, was not being able to attend everything. I want to pay a special thanks to all the organisers, volunteers, An Garda Siochana, and others who put in so much time and effort so that the rest of us could enjoy Limerick.”

Limerick Arts Officer at Limerick City and County Council, Etain McCooey says; “We were delighted to work with creative groups across Limerick to help deliver a diverse programme of events for Culture Night Limerick 2024. It was a joy to see so many people coming together to embrace this showcase of artistic talent.”
