National Heritage Week 2025

Saturday 16th - Sunday 24th August
  • Heritage Week

National Heritage Week is a nine-day celebration of Ireland’s natural, built and cultural heritage. Each year, national and local community organisations participate by organising a host of free events throughout the country.

The theme for National Heritage Week 2025 is “Exploring our Foundations”.

This theme invites all of us to delve into the building blocks of who we are.

Our foundations are not just the buildings and structures that shape our urban areas but the landscapes, flora and fauna, the cultural activities that define who we are and much more.
