University of Limerick offers Failte Ireland Welcome Standard self-catering accommodation located on 330 hectares of beautiful parkland campus, with the River Shannon as the unifying focal point.
Our accommodation is available each summer, and our opening dates for next year are Friday 30th May 2025 until Sunday 24th August 2025. Our self-catering accommodation has a total of 2,700 rooms across six on-campus villages.
Our self-catering accommodation is divided between six attractive Village Residences, all within walking distance of the River Shannon, with scenic walking and cycling paths leading directly into city centre.
The Villages offer 2, 4, 6 or 8 bedroom apartments/houses with ensuite or non ensuite bedrooms. All residences have their own Village Reception and launderette and have been awarded the Fáilte Ireland Accreditation accommodation ‘Welcome Standard’.

Please note: Each Village offers limited complimentary car/bus parking facilities.
The University of Limerick Campus also offers a great choice of restaurants and cafés within walking distance of the residences. The campus also has a variety of retail outlets to cater for guests (Convenience Store: Spar, Visitor Centre, various ATM’s around the Campus), and superb sports facilities (UL Sport Arena, consisting of a 50m pool, group fitness classes, strength and conditioning centre, climbing wall, 400m running track and various running paths around the campus), available at a small fee.
All accommodation is within easily access to Limerick City where you can take advantage of TFI Bike Hire for a quick and easy way to discover the city – for a nominal fee and refundable deposit, guests can pick up and drop their bikes at dozens of cycle hubs throughout the city.
Each Village is a smoke free/Vape Free residence.
