In support of a new Hunt Museum Public Garden, where the railings are down and the garden has places to play and to sit to enjoy the building and the view across the Shannon, the Friends of the Hunt Museum are looking to enter a team for the JP McManus Pro Am 2020.
Coinciding with Riverfest on May 3rd there was a Crazy Golf Pitch in the Hunt Museum Garden for the press launch of the Hunt Museum Pre Qualifier. Attended by former golf playing rugby internationals David Wallace and George Casey, together with pupils from the Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh and launched by Chair of the Hunt Museum Golfing Committee - Juan Fitzgerald, Chair of the Hunt Museum Board - John Moran, and our Mayor of Limerick City and County James Collins.
The Hunt Museum Pre-Qualifier is a Singles Stableford Competition and will take place on September 12th and 13th at the Limerick Golf Club. A group of four players will be €400, individuals €100. This includes lunch and refreshments and a Pro Am Entrance Cap.
The Museum in a Garden features life size versions of some of the amazing objects held in the museum for children to use and interact with as well as new seating areas and places to chill out.
