Comedy Royalty takes to the Stage as Bernard O'Shea to play "King" in Sleeping Beauty at UCH, Limerick

Robert C Kelly & University Concert Hall are thrilled to announce that Bernard O’Shea is joining the cast of the much-anticipated 2023 pantomime production of Sleeping Beauty - the Pantomime of Your Dreams!

Well-known, writer, actor, comedian and television presenter, Bernard is an exciting addition to this year’s Limerick pantomime. He has appeared on a number of TV shows most notably Bridget and Eamon, and recently on RTÉ’s Marty & Bernard On the Road Again and Bernard’s Working Comics. He currently writes for the Irish Examiner, is a regular contributor to Dermot & Dave on Today FM and is working on his third book.

Now in its twelfth year, the UCH Christmas pantomime is a beloved tradition at University Concert Hall and is enjoyed by audiences in Limerick and well beyond. This year’s Sleeping Beauty is brought to you by the team behind last year’s sell-out Peter Pan and are promising a bigger and better than ever offering of a magical and entertaining experience for audiences of all ages.

Featuring stunning sets, colourful costumes, hopping hits and a talented cast of performers – with Limerick audience favourites, the ever-popular Myles Breen and Richie Hayes returning. The addition of Bernard as “King” ensuring there will be plenty of laughs along the way!

Tickets for University Concert Hall Limerick’s pantomime production of Sleeping Beauty start from €25 and are on sale now. There are a range of school shows from 18-22 December, with general audience shows running from 23 December to 14 January. Plus a relaxed show on 4 January 2024. With more shows on sale then ever, there is a chance for everyone to come and enjoy what promises to be a very special show.

The UCH Panto is THE family event for Christmas so don’t be caught napping (like our heroine!) and snap up your preferred tickets now to avoid disappointment later.
