The Limerick and District Angling Club, founded in 1939, is a salmon, trout and coarse angling club based on the Shannon and Mulcair Rivers. Competitions held all year round.
Covering a vast area of the Shannon from O’Brien’s Bridge and its tributaries to Thomond Bridge in the heart of Limerick City. It is the club’s intention to ensure that the river and its world-renowned game, pike and coarse angling can continue for many generations to come.
Our mission is to uphold and enhance the long-standing angling traditions that are associated with the Lower River Shannon, liaise with state bodies ensuring fishing rights are upheld and enhance our angling environment.
We place an emphasis on ensuring our younger generation of anglers get to experience the rich traditions of angling and hand the river over in time to come.
