D&M Garden Centre has been growing for the last 30 years beginning as a vegetable supplier and expanding to the Garden Centre it is today. Dermot and Mary started the business in the 80’s by growing vegetables and selling them door to door.

A few years later they started growing Dermot’s famous summer bedding plants such as pansies, petunias, etc. Dermot and Mary saw that their real passion was gardening and they put all their energy into starting their own garden centre. With the help of a loyal customer base they grew their business and in the 90's they opened the restaurant. Mary’s cooking is well known for its freshness and local produce.

Their son, Tom, went to college where he studied horticulture and landscape design and since 2002 he has contributed his input to the business. In 2010 the garden centre underwent a total refurbishment with the expansion of both the restaurant and the indoor retail space. The garden centre now has a new food hall along with a wider range of garden products. We also carry a range of gifts, garden related and others.

Tom has a passion for new and different plants that are suited to the Irish climate and each year he brings new products and plants into the garden centre. Dermot has expanded his growing and has tripled his home grown bedding by adding even more varieties.

We also host a range of events throughout the year.
