As part of a major European-wide project, Limerick City and County Council is inviting members of the public to get involved in a community greening project for the newly opened Castletroy Urban Greenway.
GoGreenRoutes project is Ied by Limerick City and County Council through funding from the EU’s Horizons 2020 strand and is taking place in six cities across Europe.
It sees local stakeholders come together to create ‘nature based solutions’ that aim to enhance local biodiversity, active travel and nature connection.
The project in Limerick will focus on the Castletroy Urban Greenway which links schools, homes, park and play grounds and shops in the Castletroy area.
If you have ideas on how to help ‘green’ the area or are part of community group who would like to get involved, you can register for an introductory online workshop on Thursday 12 November 2021 at 6pm.
