The Mid-West Interfaith Network represents the diverse faith groups in Limerick and its environs including the Catholic, Anglican, Islamic, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Baha’i and Zoroastrian traditions among others.
The Mid-West Interfaith Network was founded in May 2010 as a result of of an informal discussion after a work-shop organised by Doras Luimní and delivered by Dr Marcus Braybrook, President of World congress of faiths at the Georgian house in May 2010 which sparked interest in a local interfaith network.
The group members represent the diverse faith groups in Limerick and its environs including the Catholic, Anglican, Islamic, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Baha’i and Zoroastrian traditions among others. The group has met regularly since its inception. Through our meetings we aim to build an understanding of one’s another’s faith traditions and to create bonds of friendship and mutual understanding.
Purpose
The Mid-West Interfaith Network is a community of diversity and mutual understanding which endeavours to mirror the change we want to see in the world.

To promote social justice, equality, diversity and understanding through respectful and informed dialogue, sharing ritual, education and social action.
