Foynes Flying Boat and Maritime Museum is a must see for families visiting Foynes or travelling along The Shannon Estuary Way. Travel back to the 1930s and ’40s, when Foynes played a pivotal role in establishing commercial transatlantic passenger flights Hop on board the only B314 flying boat replica in the world or challenge yourself to fly it in a realistic flight simulator. 

There are many other activities to enjoy in Foynes including Foynes Woodland trails with its twisty paths, a picnic area beside the banks of the estuary and a modern community playground for the kids.

Abha Bhan Playground

Just a short distance in nearby Loughill, Abha Bhán Parish Park is purpose built for all ages and is fully wheelchair accessible, which includes a wheelchair accessible toilet, wheelchair usable trampoline and carefully built sensory garden which means no child is excluded.

Why not explore the magical fairy trail in Curraghchase where anything is possible? Visit the fairy houses, follow the fairy dust and if you are very very lucky you might just see one!
