Registration is now open for the 9th edition of the largest one-day clean-up in Ireland, Team Limerick Clean-Up (TLC9). It is set to take place on Good Friday, 29th March 2024 across Limerick city and county.
This year, volunteers are encouraged to invite new neighbours to join them and to harness and instil a sense of pride in their community and care for their local environment. To help with this, TLC will be providing supplies for the popular tea & coffee gatherings, which will be held at locations throughout the city and county.
Last year, TLC8 marked the largest participation numbers so far, with over 21,500 volunteers taking part made up of 568 groups, including 85 schools and 56 businesses collecting 59 tonnes of litter. The volunteers were from all walks of life ranging from schools, colleges, GAA clubs and Munster Rugby to businesses, charities, nursing homes and well-known faces locally.
Team Limerick Clean-Up is partnership initiative between sponsored by the JP McManus Benevolent Fund and assisted by Limerick City and County Council. Endorsed by Paul O’Connell, the official partners include Mr Binman, The Limerick Leader, The Limerick Post, I Love Limerick and Limerick Live 95FM.
