The Mayor of the City and County of Limerick is congratulating Claire O’Riordan from Newcastle West on her selection to represent Ireland at the Women’s World Cup in Australia this summer. The 29-year-old Celtic FC player is named in the 23-player squad selected by Republic of Ireland Manager Vera Pauw.

From the early days with Wexford Youths in the Irish Women's National League, to professional contracts with MSV Duisburg in the German Frauen-Bundesliga and now Celtic in August 2022, Claire has solidified her rightful place among the finest players in the game.
