Limerick City and County Council is welcoming the announcement by US telecommunications giant Verizon that it is bringing over 400 jobs to the city centre over the next two years.
Verizon will be located in the exciting new 1BQ riverside development. Recruitment is already underway with the new jobs spanning “multiple strategic global functions, including Strategy & Transformation, Finops and Network Engineering & Cyber,” according to Verizon
“This is a tremendous announcement for Limerick and the surrounding region,” said Mayor of the City and County of Limerick, Cllr Gerald Mitchell.
“Verizon is a world-class company, and its decision to establish a presence here is a testament to the city’s growing reputation as a hub for innovation and technology,” the Mayor said.
“We are excited to embrace the different energy that Verizon will bring to Limerick,” said Chief Executive of Limerick City and County Council, Dr Pat Daly.
