Lucky Friday the 13th as Limerick.ie launches fangtastic programme to suit all ages. Prepare for a spell of a time as Limerick transforms into the ultimate haunt for Halloween.
From frighteningly fantastic family fun to hair-raising adult scares galore, Limerick will bewitch with a cauldron full of enchanting events across the city and county.

Samhain is Limerick’s Halloween Festival celebrating local folklore and traditions through talks and workshops, and fun educational events for children, including spooky storytelling – all set within the most ancient part of the city, Limerick’s Medieval Quarter.
A Nighttime Procession joins the Samhain Parade this year while other events include the Ungodly Bishop’s Pop-Up Confession, a Vampire Swim, Samhain Death Café and Tall Tales with Eddie Lenihan. Samhain is presented by Lumen Street Theatre and supported by The Arts Council, Failte Ireland and Limerick City and County Council.

Your little monsters will have a spooktacular time over the mid-term break with a list of Halloween Kids Camps to sink their teeth into. There is also a host of fiendish family fun events. The Curraghchase Pumpkin Patch returns from October 14 to 31 where a sprinkle of fairy dust will reveal your ideal pumpkin to carve. Face your fear of creepy crawlies at Wild Halloween in Newcastle West on October 28 and 29. It’s time for broomsticks and popcorn with the Halloween classic movie Hocus Pocus screening at University Concert Hall on October 29.
Also on October 29 you can get Halloween off to the perfect start by embarking on a captivating outdoor experience through Limerick City, with Clued UPP - Witchcraft and Wizardry: Murder by Magic!
The adults get to play too with lots of ghoulish goings-on for grown ups. The Scare Factory opens at the Old Cleeves Factory on Thursday 19th unleashing your worst nightmares all the way through to the 31st. Spooky Dragged Up with Victoria Secret at Dolan’s Warehouse on Saturday, October 28 features Ireland’s leading drag queens and special guest DJ. Stage Frights! A Night of Spooky Plays features all your worst fears including vampires, evil clones, climate change and puppets on October 30 and 31.
Don’t forget to book the babysitter with lots of Halloween themed nights out ensuring plenty of spooky action After Dark.
