Limerick City and County Council’s Arts Office is delighted to announce the 2024 programme for the Castleconnell Autumn Concert Series.
Presented by RTÉ Lyric FM's Liz Nolan, from All Saint’s Church, this year’s diverse offering promises to delight.
The series will open on August 27th, with members of the exquisite Degani Ensemble, Alan Smale, Ruby Ashley and Rachel Quinn, who will play Latin Americana and European Chamber works.
September welcomes Rowel Friers, a young pianist and recent winner of the Irish Freemasons Young Musician of the Year competition, he wowed audiences as a soloist at an RTÉ Summer Lunchtime Concert with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra last summer.
Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble from Belfast, will bring something new to Castleconnell in October, with their “Elemental” programme celebrating contemporary Irish female composers. The season will close with Banbha Quartet in November as part of their tour with the National String Quartet Foundation.

Etain McCooey, Arts Officer, Limerick City and County Council added: “We have a wonderful programme of music for this year’s series in the beautiful All Saints Church in Castleconnell. Our aim in presenting these concerts is to give the people of Limerick the opportunity to enjoy live classical music, performed by highly skilled musicians at a wonderful venue that is both intimate and local.”
